(6) Grand Moff Tarkin
Grand Moff Tarkin is seen for the first time at the conclusion of Revenge of the Sith standing next to Darth Vader during the construction of the original Death Star. Here he is much younger than the one in A New Hope set 19 years later. There he kidnaps Princess Leia and holds her to get the location of the secret Rebel base. He threatens to blow up her home planet of Alderaan until she finally gives up the location - then destroys Alderaan anyway. He is killed when Luke Skywalker blows up the Death Star.
(11) Poggle the Lesser
Poggle the Lesser was a member of the Separatist Council and leader of the Geonosians. He oversees the attempt to kill Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Padme Amidala with Count Dooku, but they eventually escape and the Battle of Geonisis begins. He was originally assigned to build a secret weapon for the Separatists, but when Rebel forces appear to be taking over, he erases all memory of the weapon from the computers and hands the plans to Dooku. In Revenge of the Sith he is murdered by Darth Vader on the planet Mustafar.
