(2) Yoda vs. (2) Luke Skywalker

I had the seedings pretty much down until the quarterfinals. Yoda demolished Obi-Wan Kenobi, while Luke Skywalker barely snuck past Han Solo.

The semifinals begin today. Today's vote selects the winner of the Light Side and who will be going up against tomorrow's Dark Side winner.

(2) Yoda

Yoda made it to the semifinals by knocking off Chancellor Valorum in the first round; a noble foe Wicket in round two, Princess Leia in round three and finally Obi-Wan Kenobi in the quarterfinals.

(2) Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker lands in today's semifinals by defeating Lobot in the first round; Nien Nunb was next in the second round; a difficult victory in the third round over Chewbacca and finally squeaking past Han Solo in the quarterfinals.

(1) Han Solo vs. (2) Luke Skywalker

Well, Darth Maul and Boba Fett each move forward completing the third round.

As we move into the quarterfinals it appears that the seedings have been pretty straight forward on the Light Side with both No. 1's and No. 2's remaining. But, who will wind up in the semifinals? We will know after today.

Vote for both!

(1) Han Solo

"Sorry about the mess."

(2) Luke Skywalker

"NO! That's impossible."

(2) Luke Skywalker vs. (6) Chewbacca

Han Solo rolls over his old buddy, Lando, and into the quarterfinals. Obi-Wan Kenobi, meanwhile, barely slips past our favorite astro droid, but he also lands in the quarterfinals.

Final two matchups for the Light Side's third round. Remember to vote for both.

(2) Luke Skywalker

"I'm endangering the mission. I shouldn't have come."

(6) Chewbacca

"Aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrgh."

(2) Luke Skywalker vs. (10) Nien Nunb

The heavy hitters march into the third round as both Han Solo and Obi-Wan Kenobi roll over their foes.

The second round of the Light Side continues. Make sure to vote for both.

(2) Luke Skywalker

Luke Skywalker was portrayed by Mark Hamill. Hamill was a fresh face when Star Wars hit the theater, only providing his voice to a few cartoons in the early 70s. Fun Fact: Though Hamill is obviously best know for playing Skywalker, he has also become iconic in the voice department as the Joker in a lot of the Batman  cartoons.

(10) Nien Nunb

Nien Nunb was used as both a puppet and a full body suit. Mike Quinn performed the puppetry while Richard Bonehill was in the body suit. Fun Fact: Nunb was voiced by Kipsang Rotich and he spoke the languages of Haya and Kikuyu, both from Kenya.

(2) Luke Skywalker vs. (15) Lobot

Slight rise in votes yesterday, but not by much. Hopefully it's just due to it being the weekend.

Anyway, Master Yoda rolls through into the second round with a shutout against Chancellor Valorum.

Luke Skywalker makes his first appearance, but will it be his last? Enjoy!

(2) Luke Skywalker

The original film, though most just call Star Wars, is actually called A New Hope which is an appropriately titled film as we are introduced to Luke Skywalker. Luke is the offspring, as we find out in Empire, of Anakin Skywalker, now Darth Vader. Luke is powerful in the Force, but needs to training from Yoda (and the ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi) to learn how to use it and lead the rebels over the Empire.

(15) Lobot

Lobot is the aide to Lando Calrissian on Cloud City. His brain is wired into the city's main computer and allowed him to communicate with the computer. On Lando's command he turns on the Empire and helps rescue Chewbacca and Leia from the Stormtroopers.

Happy Birthday, Mr. Skywalker!

A Happy Birthday goes out to the most famous of the Skywalker clan, Luke. Or should I say the man you portrayed him on film, Mark Hamill.
